Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, the Tennessee Bicentennial Capitol Mall gives visitors a taste of the state’s history and to serve a monumental marking of its two hundred-year anniversary.

Major roads, counties, rivers and other geographic details are intricately carved into a 200-foot granite state map. An inscribed granite wall borders the Mall’s water feature, called “Riverwalk”, sharing the state’s waterway history.
Dedicated in 1997, the World War II It features an 18,000-lb. granite globe floating on 1/8 inch of water.

The World War II memorial also features large granite markings giving a brief history of significant events by taking authentic photos and carving them into the panels.
