In 2005, Tarrant County decided that a new facility was need for its family law proceedings. The new five story, two-block facility is located in downtown Fort Worth, across the street from Tarrant County Family Courthouse. Because of its close proximity to the courthouse, building materials were chosen to compliment the historic landmark.
