Mount RushmoreMount Rushmore National Memorial, near Keystone, South Dakota, was a monumental undertaking by that sculpture Gutzon Borglum’s to carve four of our country’s greatest leaders into the side of a granite mountain. Today, this memorial has become one of our country’s greatest national treasures. In the 1980’s, it was decided that the memorial site was in need of renovations meet ADA accessibility requirements and to accommodate the record number of tourists who flocked to the site each year. The project included a new Visitor’s & Interpretive Center, the Avenue of Flags and Grand View Terrace.

Rockville Beige granite was used exclusively in the plaza paving, Avenue of Flags columns, and exterior facing of the Visitors & Interpretive Center.
